ST AI Agency

Free Astro theme for AI agencies and automation studios, with a single-page homepage, Markdown blog, and near-zero JavaScript.

About this template

ST AI Agency is a free Astro theme for AI agencies, AI automation studios, AI consultancies and AI agent platforms, built on Astro 7 with static output and no UI framework. It takes story-specific copy and images from a site config file plus typed data files and produces a static single-page marketing site with a Markdown blog.

What is ST AI Agency?

ST AI Agency is a free, MIT-licensed Astro theme for AI agencies, AI automation studios, AI consultancies and AI agent platforms, built on Astro 7 with static output and no UI framework. A developer supplies brand and contact details in src/config/site.ts, homepage copy in src/data/* TypeScript files, and blog posts as Markdown in src/content/blog/; the build produces a static site in dist/. The theme is published by StrivioThemes.

What makes ST AI Agency stand out?

  • Warm visual identity — a full-bleed hero that tints its photo in the brand colours, editorial service rows, a heat-gradient process band, dark customer cards and arched portraits, driven by an orange ramp (--o900 to --o100) plus cream and dark-brown neutrals in tokens.css.
  • Single-page homepage with many sections — hero, client strip, AI solutions, platform/features, process, customer results, statistics, industry sectors, testimonial, team, pricing, insights preview, FAQ, contact form and a final call-to-action band.
  • Markdown blog on Astro Content Collections — posts use a glob loader with schema-validated frontmatter (title, description, pubDate, updatedDate, category, author, authorRole, image, imageAlt, tags, readingTime, featured, draft); each post page carries breadcrumbs, author, date, reading time, tags, previous/next links and related posts.
  • Blog index with featured post and category filter — the filter is a progressive enhancement, so the page works with JavaScript disabled.
  • Minimal JavaScript — about 3 KB of minified vanilla TypeScript per page, inlined by Astro; no framework runtime and no third-party scripts.
  • SEO and feeds — canonical URLs, Open Graph and Twitter/X cards, JSON-LD (Organization, WebSite, BlogPosting, BreadcrumbList), a sitemap, robots.txt and an RSS feed generated by @astrojs/rss.
  • Accessibility details — skip link, semantic landmarks, a mobile dialog with focus trap and Escape-to-close, an FAQ accordion with aria-expanded, visible focus states, reduced-motion support, and readable content without JavaScript.
  • Self-hosted fonts and local images — Outfit and Inter Tight variable fonts via Fontsource with no Google Fonts requests; WebP images with explicit dimensions, a preloaded hero and lazy-loaded below-the-fold photos.
  • Plain CSS, no Tailwind — design tokens and component styles split across tokens.css, global.css, components.css and blog.css.

Who is it for?

  • AI agency and automation studio owners: launch a single-page service site with solutions, process, pricing and case-study sections without writing a framework app.
  • AI consultancies and agent platform teams: publish a credible marketing surface plus a blog for thought-leadership posts, with RSS and structured data wired in.
  • Astro developers building client sites: hand over a theme customisable through one config file, typed data files and a token stylesheet.
  • Teams deploying to static hosts: ship to Vercel, Netlify, Cloudflare Pages or GitHub Pages, including project sites served from a sub-path via BASE_PATH.

What can you do with ST AI Agency?

  • Agency marketers: replace fictional demo copy in src/data/home.ts, solutions.ts, customers.ts and pricing.ts with real services, case studies and plans.
  • Content teams: add Markdown files to src/content/blog/ — the filename becomes the slug — and the homepage Insights section automatically shows the three newest posts.
  • Lead capture: connect the contact and newsletter forms to Formspree, Web3Forms, Netlify Forms or your own endpoint; until then they run in a demo mode that sends nothing and says so.

How does ST AI Agency work?

Clone the repository, run npm install, then npm run dev to serve at http://localhost:4321. Edit src/config/site.ts, src/data/* and src/styles/tokens.css, then run npm run build to write static files to dist/, setting SITE_URL before deployment for canonical tags, sitemap and RSS.

FAQ

What are the requirements for ST AI Agency?

Node.js 22.12.0 or newer, which is the minimum for Astro 7, and npm 9.6.5 or newer; an .nvmrc file is included. Astro automatically picks npm run build as the build command and dist as the output directory on Vercel and Netlify.

Is ST AI Agency free?

Yes. The theme is released under the MIT License. The bundled photographs are CC0 1.0 public domain from pxhere.com, and the Outfit and Inter Tight fonts are SIL Open Font License 1.1, so third-party assets keep their own licenses outside MIT.

Does the contact form actually send messages?

Not out of the box. The forms are plain HTML and run in demo mode until you set a contactAction endpoint (Formspree or your own API), configure Web3Forms with an access key, or enable netlify: true for Netlify Forms. No API keys are included in the theme.

Which pages does the theme generate?

Only four routes: /, /blog, /blog/<slug> and /404, plus /rss.xml, /robots.txt and /sitemap-index.xml. Solutions, features, pricing, customers, sectors, process, team, FAQ and contact are anchors on the homepage, reachable as /#pricing and similar links.

Can it be deployed under a sub-path?

Yes. All internal links go through a url() helper in src/utils/url.ts, so the theme works at a domain root or under a sub-path such as a GitHub Pages project site by setting both SITE_URL and BASE_PATH.
