Three Template

Three Template is a free, fixed-width, two-column HTML/CSS website layout released by templatemo in June 2008, designed as a simple blue-themed starting point for any web project.

What is Three Template?

Three Template (templatemo 003 Three) is a static HTML/CSS layout distributed by templatemo as a free download. It takes no dynamic input and produces a two-column, fixed-width webpage with a blue color palette, built from plain HTML and CSS files. The template runs entirely in the browser with no server-side dependencies, and it was added to the templatemo catalog on 26 June 2008.

Key Features

• Free commercial license — The template is 100% free to download, edit, and use for both commercial and non-commercial websites, with no stated restrictions.
• Two-column layout — The page structure uses two side-by-side columns, based on the "2-column" tag in the template listing.
• Fixed-width design — The layout is fixed rather than fluid, meaning the page width stays constant regardless of screen size.
• Blue color scheme — The template uses blue as its primary color, as stated in the description.
• Plain HTML/CSS — The template is built with straightforward HTML and CSS, with no frameworks, preprocessors, or build tools mentioned.
• Downloadable ZIP — The full template is packaged in a ZIP file, available directly from the download link on the listing page.
• Live preview — A one-click "Live View" lets you see the rendered layout before downloading, plus a full-size screenshot.
• Part of an early series — It is one of templatemo's earliest numbered templates (001–006), added on 26 June 2008.

Who should use Three Template?

• Web design beginners — Use the plain HTML/CSS files to study how a simple two-column, fixed-width layout is structured and styled.
• Small business owners — Quickly create an informational site by downloading the template, editing the text, and keeping the blue corporate-style look.
• Hobbyist developers — Use it as a free starting point for a personal page, replacing the placeholder content and restyling the CSS.

Use cases

• Personal one-pager: Set up a simple fixed-width page with a main content area and a secondary column, suitable for a personal home page.
• Small business brochure site: Build a straightforward company presence with contact info, using the blue theme as the base.
• Learning older CSS techniques: Because the template is from 2008, it's useful for examining pre-responsive era layout methods.
